Mr & Mrs Smallman

www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk  busy weekend last week continued with the marriage of Paul and Sue on Saturday.

We first travelled to the Huntington home of Pauls parents to take some pre-wedding photos of Paul with the car that he had chosen to take him to Cannock Registry Office in Staffordshire, we arrived to be greeted with a stunning black Trans Am, a perfect match to the Bandit car from the Smokey and The Bandit films, even down to bandit on the bottom of the number plates! Here we shot images of paul who was surprising calm with the muscle car from various angles. We then moved over to the other side of Cannock to the Wimblebury home of Sues parents. Here we photographed the bridesmaids and pageboys while the rest of the bridal party were getting ready for the big day. We captured a few frames of these preparations while they were underway before we moved on to the Registry Office on Victoria Street, Cannock, Staffs to await Pauls arrival.

Once at the venue we didn’t have to wait long, as in the distance we heard the unmistakable roar of a big powerful engine, sure enough it was Paul in the Trans Am muscle car, the ground shook as it pulled into the small car park. Paul emerged with Jamie and Ryan his two best men for the day, all looking very smart although poor Jamie and Ryan looked very cramped into the back seat. Once we had taken a few more photos of the grooms party they all disappeared into the very small, but very nice registry office while we awaited the arrival of our Bride, Sue. A vintage white Mercedes soon arrived carrying a stunning looking Sue and her father who was giving her away.

The normal ceremony shots were taken along with all the traditional group shots in the gardens of the venue before the whole party moved onto Mill Farm Restaurant for the wedding breakfast. After the meal the party moved once again to The Conservative Club on Hednesford Road, Heath Hayes for the evening buffet and disco. www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk here met back up with the newlyweds to photograph the traditional cutting of the cake ceremony, and also the first dance of the night, and of married life. This dance was performed to Aerosmiths I Dont Want To Miss A Thing. As we left the Cons Club the party was in full swing.

Glyn T Jones Photography would like to congratulate Paul and Sue, and wish them both a very long and healthy together.

The wedding of Mr & Mrs Anderson

www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk has had a very busy but enjoyable weekend. This all started with the wedding of Kyle and Melissa on Friday.

We arrived at Christchurch, Burntwood Staffordshire to await the arrival of Kyle, this weddings groom. True to form Kyle arrived in a beautiful Rolls Royce Ghost wedding car in shining white, in the May sunshine. out stepped Kyle looking as cool as a cucumber, as usual, wearing his shades along with Jordan his brother who was Kyles best man. It wasn’t long before the full grooms party were at the church making various preparations for the ceremony, including setting up a laptop so the whole service could be watched live by relatives in Australia. A sparkling white stretch limousine arrived to deliver the seven bridesmaids to the church, as all the guests were arriving and filing into church to take their seats. We all eagerly awaited the arrival of Melissa for the wedding ceremony to get underway. The Rolls Royce once again returned with our bride Melissa who looked a perfect picture of a bride, truly stunning, along with Rob her very proud looking father.

Once inside the Church the ceremony went of without a hitch, and a few laughs along the way which was mainly due to the vicars modern and relaxed attitude. Once back outside the church with Kyle and Melissa as husband and wife, we posed the congregation for some formal group shots as well as some more off the cuff candid shots of the guests. Once all the formal photographs were over we then spent some time alone with the newlyweds for some more relaxed portrait style shots . At this point the heavens opened with rain, so once again our vicar came to the rescue and allowed us back into the church where we could take some very unusual wedding photographs in front of the altar and the lovely stained glass windows. The rain shower soon passed over so we continued taking the photographs outside using various parts of the church as our backdrop. The newlyweds then returned back to their waiting wedding car to be served champagne for the journey to Oak Farm Hotel in Cannock Staffordshire.

On arrival at Oak Farm Hotel we once again shot some playful shots of the gathering enjoying the day. It was now time to go with Kyle and Melissa to the hotels bridal suite to get some photographs for them on the four-poster bed  as they had previously requested. The whole wedding party was then treated to a lovely wedding breakfast before dancing the night away to the sounds of the resident D.J. Glyn T Jones Photography had by this point returned to the venue to capture the couple perform their first dance together as a married couple, we then headed for home leaving everyone to party hard until the small hours.

www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Kyle and Melissa on their wedding, and also thank them for choosing us to work with them on their important wedding day.

Portraits out of the rain.

www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk have today been working in our Burntwood Staffordshire based photographic studio working on portraits of various babies and toddlers. We are thankful that this was all studio based work, as this drought we are experiencing must be the wettest in history! We are now hoping for the weather to clear for our two weddings this week.

Friday sees us working on the wedding of Kyle and Melissa, a lovely local couple who are having their wedding ceremony at Christchurch, Burntwood in Staffordshire, where we attended the wedding rehearsal last week and met the vicar who will be taking the service to discuss her rules on us photographing the wedding, we always like to clear any information like this up with the vicars and registrars before the event to prevent any errors on the day for the happy couple. Opposite the church is Prince’s Park, this park is in the Guinness Book Of Records for being the smallest park in the U.K. Taking bride and groom photographs in this stunning and unusual location is too good an opportunity to miss. However we will not be able to shoot any of the formal group shots in here as anymore than four people and the park is full.

After the ceremony we all head of to Oak Farm Hotel on Watling Street, Cannock, Staffs for the reception. This venue again allows for some stunning photographs to be taken around the hotel and grounds. Kyle and Melissa have also requested that we visit their bridal suite with them to capture some images that they want of them sitting on the four-poster bed that is theirs for the night. We will then be leaving them to party hard with all their loved ones into the small hours sharing and celebrating with them the biggest day of their lives.

A small selection of images from the recent wedding of Nathan and Jen held at St Matthews Church in Walsall, West Midlands have now been added to the wedding gallery of my website. We would both like to take this chance to wish Nathan and Jen a very long and happy future together, and to again thank them for choosing www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk to capture their important wedding moments to be forever treasured.

All the best

Choosing a wedding Photographer.

By Glyn T Jones Photography        www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk

When the party’s over, the cake has all been eaten, the best mans hangover has long passed and there are only empty champagne bottles to show for the “biggest day of your life.” There will only be one thing that you can count on to truly stand the test of time, your wedding album! It is for this very reason that choosing the right wedding photographer is one of the most important parts of organising your day.

To get you the best shots of your day, your photographer has only one chance to capture each shot, each emotion. For this very reason each and every wedding photographer should carry at least two identical items of all of the photography equipment that they will be expecting to use on the day. We all know that if any equipment is going to malfunction, then it will be at the worst possible moment. Disposable items, batteries etc, should be more than double stocked to allow for multiple changes throughout the day if this becomes necessary. Most wedding photographers also employ an assistant while working on a wedding, it is their job to organise the wedding party for all the formal group shots. Their job also includes carrying the second camera and flash gun ready to hand over in an instant should a problem be encountered.

Here at www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk  we often get comments from the newlyweds when they have viewed the proof shots of the day, saying that they do not remember certain little parts of the day that they are viewing in the photographs. This is another important part of choosing the right photographer for your day, a true professional with their wealth of experience will capture certain snippets of the day that the Bride and Groom miss throughout the whirlwind of their wedding day.

This above article is a true example of how we at www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk  work through our wedding photography, and this along with our beautiful images is why we have so many satisfied clients that recommend us often to their friends and family.

Our advertising states ” Why trust your important memories to anything less than a professional.” Is this a question you would wish to answer after your wedding?

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Watson

www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk had the great pleasure of working for Nathan & Jen on Saturday as the photographer for their wedding at St Matthews Church, Walsall in the West Midlands, followed by their evening reception at the Bloxwich Memorial Hall.

We arrived at the church in the bright April sunshine to await Nathans arrival, we didn’t have to wait long before the grooms men arrived. Nathan looked very nervous, a far cry from the very relaxed man we had met on numerous occasions during the build up to the wedding. Once the groom had greeted the guests outside the church, standing under the beautiful arch gateway, he disappeared inside to await his bride. Shortly after Jen arrived with her bridesmaids and Peter, her very proud looking father. The bridal party arrived in a lovely white stretch limo, while Jen and Peter arrived in a matching white Lincoln town car. Here we had the chance to work photographing the full bridal party, capturing the last images of Jen before she became Mrs Watson. We all then stepped inside the church where Colin Gibson the vicar taking the service was very relaxed and allowed us free roam of the church to photograph the wedding service form various angles, including the overhead balconies that surround the upper level of St Matthews Church. This is very unusual as many vicars only allow photographs to be taken from the back of the church, so for this relaxed and modern approach we would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Colin. After the service we managed to capture all the group and formal shots in the church grounds, before spending time alone with the newlyweds capturing images of them in a more relaxed atmosphere, we find this approach allows much more of the love and emotion to shine through. The wedding party then moved on to The Old House At Home in Pelsall for their wedding breakfast & all the formal speeches. We then returned on the evening to photograph the cutting of the cake ceremony before the newlyweds took to the dance floor for their first dance as a married couple.

The whole day seemed to be thoroughly enjoyed by everyone attending the day, us included. We at www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk would like to wish Nathan and Jen a very long and happy future together.

Kind Regards

All ready for the busy weekend

www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk have all the photography gear charged and packed ready for a busy weekend. Tomorrow we are the official photographers for the wedding of Nathan and Jenny from Bloxwich. The ceremony is taking place at St Matthews Church in Walsall town centre, this will be the first time working at this venue for us, so will be that little bit different. After the wedding the newlyweds and their guests travel to The Old House At Home in Pelsall, West Midlands for the wedding breakfast along with the speeches. The evening will see all the guests partying the night away at the Bloxwich Memorial Hall to celebrate the occasion.

Sunday we find ourselves in Wolverhampton exhibiting at a wedding fayre. This event is being held at Dunstall Park racecourse from 11 am until 3pm. We are quite excited by this event, as this will be our biggest Wedding Fayre of the year so far, and Glyn T Jones Photography has stepped up a gear with our exhibition stand. We will have more sample wedding albums from Mario Acerboni displaying samples of our recent work, along with bigger and better products that we supply to make the memories of your special day even better than before. Our stall will now also be much easier to find due to our new range of banners and advertising materials that will make our branded display shine. If you are planning your big day, or even just in the early process of thinking about it, then dont miss this great opportunity to see lots of suppliers of great wedding products all under one roof, this could well be your one stop wedding shop!

I would now like to wish Nathan and Jenny all the best of luck for their wedding tomorrow, and also look forward to speaking to many couple on Sunday in Wolverhampton.

2 weddings from the month of March 2012

Two lovely newlyweds from last month.

www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk had the pleasure of photographing two weddings to start the 2012 wedding season during the month of March. Firstly we had the pleasure of  working with Graham and Simone on their wedding day on the 10th March, their special day took part at the Beautiful Hawkesyard Hall in Armitage, just on the outskirts of Rugeley Staffordshire. This venue truly is a photographers dream with many locations to shoot the wedding party. We arrived on the Saturday morning in glorious weather for this country, let alone the month of March, Graham arrived very soon after looking very smart all suited and booted with his young son dressed exactly to match. We spent some time with Graham and Simon, his best man, capturing various images of the groomsmen from the more formal posed shots, right through to a few candid shots of the groom party enjoying the preparations. We then were ferried over to the other side of Hawkesyard Hall by golf buggy to spend just a short time with the bridal party, here we were met by the sight of Simone looking absolutely stunning in her wedding gown, we captured some images of her with her bridesmaids, and of course her mother before moving back over to the main hall awaiting the start of the civil ceremony. Simone along with all of her party arrived in a stretch golf buggy complete with ribbons, before going inside the hall to walk down the aisle to greet Graham. Simone walked down the aisle to live music performed by a trio of wedding singers looking very excited. The wedding service went of without a hitch, before we ventured back outside to the stunning landscaped gardens set in the Staffordshire countryside, here we worked with the entire wedding party to capture all the formal group and family shots, before spending time alone with the newlyweds to capture more relaxed informal shots of them, showing their love and emotion towards each other. The wedding party then went of to celebrate and party the night away in the golf club which is also part of the Hawkesyard Hall estate.

The 17th of March then saw www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk photographing the wedding of David and Carly, this was a church ceremony taking place at St Marks Church Great Wyrley in the West Midlands, followed by the wedding breakfast, and the wedding reception all held at The Chase Golf Club Pottal Pool Staffordshire. We arrived at the home of the parents of Carly to capture her leaving for the church with her father who was giving her away, here we saw the couples son, who even though just about 12 months old was wearing a full three piece suit looking very cute. We managed to fire a few shots off of Carly who looked truly stunning, with her family before heading over to greet David who had just arrived at St Marks Church with his best man and other members of the groomsmen before they all hurried inside the church to await the arrival of Davids bride. We didn’t have to wait long as Carly soon arrived in her lovely vintage car, she looked beautiful along with her three bridesmaids who were wearing stunning gowns made of striking purple silk, here we spent a short while working with the bridal party before a very excited Carly entered the church for her wedding service. In the church during the ceremony we were allowed to take photographs for the couples wedding album, so we made sure we captured every important moment for them to forever cherish. The whole party then made way into the church gardens, where again the weather was unseasonably warm and bright, for all the formal photos & the all important confetti shots which seemed to of been enjoyed by many people, I am sure the couple will be finding stray confetti for many months to come! The wedding guests then moved on to The Chase Golf Club leaving us alone with David and Carly as it was now their turn for the more relaxed photographs of them enjoying each others company, and the moment of just a small piece of calm in a hectic busy day. David and Carly were a true pleasure to work with and seemed to enjoy the time in front of the lens, making for some truly stunning shots for them to choose for their wedding album. At this point we all moved over to the Golf club, where again we were able to spend time with the couple and their guests taking many more photographs. Then it was time for the wedding breakfast so this was time for us to leave, before returning in the evening to capture the first dance as a married couple that David and Carly shared.

Glyn T Jones Photography would like to wish Graham, Simone, David and Carly a very happy and long future together. We also would like to take this opportunity to thank all concerned for choosing Glyn T Jones Photography to capture and document their special days for them.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Johnson

www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk had the pleasure on Saturday of photographing the wedding of Graham & Simone. The venue was Hawkesyard Hall in Armitage Staffordshire, this is a truly stunning location that was once St Thomas Priory, housing many monks. We arrived to find Graham already suited and booted, looking great with his young son in matching three piece suit. Simon the best man duly arrived looking equally smart, we then got to work photographing the grooms party in various locations around the stunning hall and landscaped gardens. The wedding guests had now started to arrive and were enjoying refreshment in the unseasonably March weather around the Orangery bar on the back lawn. We were then taken by golf buggy to the rooms that the bridal party were using to get dressed & ready for the wedding. Here we were greeted with the sight of the beautiful Simone already laced into her gorgeous white wedding gown, looking stunning. We then photographed Simone with her bridesmaids and members of her family before returning to the main Hawkesyard Hall where the civil ceremony was to be taking place. We awaited the arrival of the bride who arrived in a stretch limousine golf buggy decorated with ribbons. The service took place in the main hall overlooking the fountain which is the centrepiece of the well kept landscaped gardens. We then spent time posing the congregation for all the formal group wedding photographs as requested by the couple beforehand. We then spent some time alone with the newlyweds for some more relaxed informal portrait style photographs, we find that this is a better way to get more natural photographs as the couple feel so much more relaxed being out of sight of the wedding guests, we photographed them at various locations around the gardens before taking them inside the hall once more some amazing photographs on Hawkesyards immense staircase. It was now party time for the happy couple and they spent the night partying with all their family and friends.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Graham and Simone for choosing www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk  to work with them on their wedding day to create everlasting memories for them to cherish for the rest of their lives. We wish them all the best happiness in life, and a very long future together.

Wedding Fayre Cancelled again!

www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk are sad to announce that we have just found out that there is no wedding fayre on Sunday 4th March at the Ramada Cannock Hotel on Sunday 4th March 2012. We have been let down by the organiser that was SUPPOSED to be running this event twice now on the bounce. We WILL NOT be doing any business with this person again in the future as we feel let down, & also feel that we have, through no fault of our own, had to let you, our clients down. We apologise for this second cancellation of this event. Sadly we only found out today through the venue that this was not going ahead, as the organisers seem to have ignored the fact! Once again sorry for any disappointment caused.

Big Things Ahead as the Wedding Season swings into action!

www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk has recently been organising some more advertising ventures now that this years wedding season is nearly upon us. We have booked an advertising campaign with The Birmingham Telegraph, a newspaper that covers a wide area of the West Midlands, from Cannock to Coventry, Stratford upon Avon to Kidderminster and Worcester to Twycross, Warwickshire. We will be running a full colour advert in this publication starting very soon, the artwork is being designed as I type this blog post. We have also secured a great advertising campaign with Yell.com so we are now ready to open up our services to a much wider audience to showcase our skills in professional wedding photography. Watch this space for announcements of when our first adverts go live. Glyn T Jones Photography has also teamed up with Dream street promotions wedding planners red card discount scheme, so any engaged couples who book our services, and have purchased a red card from Dream Street will be entitled to a 10% discount off their wedding photography package. You can contact us for more details.

This Sunday 4th March we will be exhibiting at the Ramada Cannock Hotels wedding fayre, this is the event that we should have attended in January but sadly the venue had to cancel the event. The Glyn T Jones Photography stall will be on site, and bigger and better than ever! We have invested in some more exhibition stands and displays so even more of our recent photographic work will be on show, and much easier to see. Our Mario Acerboni handmade wedding albums will of course be on show for you to view at your leisure. The address for this event is Ramada Hotel, Bridge Street, Cannock, WS11 0DQ, why not pop along for an informal chat about your wedding plans.

Saturday 25th February was the day of a lovely photo shoot we had been commissioned to shoot. It was to take place in the Nechells area of Birmingham and was a family shoot for a family, the shoot involved three generations of the same family, making a group of fourteen people to work with. It was a real joy to see so many members of the same family all together interacting together having fun, it had a similar atmosphere to many of the weddings we have worked on.

We are now only a 2 weeks away from our first wedding of the year, this is one particular wedding that I am really looking forward to working on, the venue is truly  breathtaking. This wedding is a civil ceremony taking place at Hawkesyard Hall in Rugeley Staffordshire, this used to be a priory many, many years ago but has now been transformed into a place that oozes elegance both inside the hall, and out in the stunning landscaped gardens overlooking the countryside fields of Staffordshire. The entrance hall has the most beautiful staircase that is crying out for some truly stunning bride and groom shots, although it is also a big enough staircase to be able to get the whole of the wedding party onto for photographic opportunities. I really do feel that this venue will become a very popular place for weddings, as so many couples will fall in love with the place as soon as they see it. Photographs from this wedding will of course be in my website galleries in due course.

Kind Regards

Glyn
