2 weddings from the month of March 2012

Two lovely newlyweds from last month.

www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk had the pleasure of photographing two weddings to start the 2012 wedding season during the month of March. Firstly we had the pleasure of  working with Graham and Simone on their wedding day on the 10th March, their special day took part at the Beautiful Hawkesyard Hall in Armitage, just on the outskirts of Rugeley Staffordshire. This venue truly is a photographers dream with many locations to shoot the wedding party. We arrived on the Saturday morning in glorious weather for this country, let alone the month of March, Graham arrived very soon after looking very smart all suited and booted with his young son dressed exactly to match. We spent some time with Graham and Simon, his best man, capturing various images of the groomsmen from the more formal posed shots, right through to a few candid shots of the groom party enjoying the preparations. We then were ferried over to the other side of Hawkesyard Hall by golf buggy to spend just a short time with the bridal party, here we were met by the sight of Simone looking absolutely stunning in her wedding gown, we captured some images of her with her bridesmaids, and of course her mother before moving back over to the main hall awaiting the start of the civil ceremony. Simone along with all of her party arrived in a stretch golf buggy complete with ribbons, before going inside the hall to walk down the aisle to greet Graham. Simone walked down the aisle to live music performed by a trio of wedding singers looking very excited. The wedding service went of without a hitch, before we ventured back outside to the stunning landscaped gardens set in the Staffordshire countryside, here we worked with the entire wedding party to capture all the formal group and family shots, before spending time alone with the newlyweds to capture more relaxed informal shots of them, showing their love and emotion towards each other. The wedding party then went of to celebrate and party the night away in the golf club which is also part of the Hawkesyard Hall estate.

The 17th of March then saw www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk photographing the wedding of David and Carly, this was a church ceremony taking place at St Marks Church Great Wyrley in the West Midlands, followed by the wedding breakfast, and the wedding reception all held at The Chase Golf Club Pottal Pool Staffordshire. We arrived at the home of the parents of Carly to capture her leaving for the church with her father who was giving her away, here we saw the couples son, who even though just about 12 months old was wearing a full three piece suit looking very cute. We managed to fire a few shots off of Carly who looked truly stunning, with her family before heading over to greet David who had just arrived at St Marks Church with his best man and other members of the groomsmen before they all hurried inside the church to await the arrival of Davids bride. We didn’t have to wait long as Carly soon arrived in her lovely vintage car, she looked beautiful along with her three bridesmaids who were wearing stunning gowns made of striking purple silk, here we spent a short while working with the bridal party before a very excited Carly entered the church for her wedding service. In the church during the ceremony we were allowed to take photographs for the couples wedding album, so we made sure we captured every important moment for them to forever cherish. The whole party then made way into the church gardens, where again the weather was unseasonably warm and bright, for all the formal photos & the all important confetti shots which seemed to of been enjoyed by many people, I am sure the couple will be finding stray confetti for many months to come! The wedding guests then moved on to The Chase Golf Club leaving us alone with David and Carly as it was now their turn for the more relaxed photographs of them enjoying each others company, and the moment of just a small piece of calm in a hectic busy day. David and Carly were a true pleasure to work with and seemed to enjoy the time in front of the lens, making for some truly stunning shots for them to choose for their wedding album. At this point we all moved over to the Golf club, where again we were able to spend time with the couple and their guests taking many more photographs. Then it was time for the wedding breakfast so this was time for us to leave, before returning in the evening to capture the first dance as a married couple that David and Carly shared.

Glyn T Jones Photography would like to wish Graham, Simone, David and Carly a very happy and long future together. We also would like to take this opportunity to thank all concerned for choosing Glyn T Jones Photography to capture and document their special days for them.

Big Things Ahead as the Wedding Season swings into action!

www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk has recently been organising some more advertising ventures now that this years wedding season is nearly upon us. We have booked an advertising campaign with The Birmingham Telegraph, a newspaper that covers a wide area of the West Midlands, from Cannock to Coventry, Stratford upon Avon to Kidderminster and Worcester to Twycross, Warwickshire. We will be running a full colour advert in this publication starting very soon, the artwork is being designed as I type this blog post. We have also secured a great advertising campaign with Yell.com so we are now ready to open up our services to a much wider audience to showcase our skills in professional wedding photography. Watch this space for announcements of when our first adverts go live. Glyn T Jones Photography has also teamed up with Dream street promotions wedding planners red card discount scheme, so any engaged couples who book our services, and have purchased a red card from Dream Street will be entitled to a 10% discount off their wedding photography package. You can contact us for more details.

This Sunday 4th March we will be exhibiting at the Ramada Cannock Hotels wedding fayre, this is the event that we should have attended in January but sadly the venue had to cancel the event. The Glyn T Jones Photography stall will be on site, and bigger and better than ever! We have invested in some more exhibition stands and displays so even more of our recent photographic work will be on show, and much easier to see. Our Mario Acerboni handmade wedding albums will of course be on show for you to view at your leisure. The address for this event is Ramada Hotel, Bridge Street, Cannock, WS11 0DQ, why not pop along for an informal chat about your wedding plans.

Saturday 25th February was the day of a lovely photo shoot we had been commissioned to shoot. It was to take place in the Nechells area of Birmingham and was a family shoot for a family, the shoot involved three generations of the same family, making a group of fourteen people to work with. It was a real joy to see so many members of the same family all together interacting together having fun, it had a similar atmosphere to many of the weddings we have worked on.

We are now only a 2 weeks away from our first wedding of the year, this is one particular wedding that I am really looking forward to working on, the venue is truly  breathtaking. This wedding is a civil ceremony taking place at Hawkesyard Hall in Rugeley Staffordshire, this used to be a priory many, many years ago but has now been transformed into a place that oozes elegance both inside the hall, and out in the stunning landscaped gardens overlooking the countryside fields of Staffordshire. The entrance hall has the most beautiful staircase that is crying out for some truly stunning bride and groom shots, although it is also a big enough staircase to be able to get the whole of the wedding party onto for photographic opportunities. I really do feel that this venue will become a very popular place for weddings, as so many couples will fall in love with the place as soon as they see it. Photographs from this wedding will of course be in my website galleries in due course.

Kind Regards

Glyn
